Edward can pursue romantic relationships with two characters.

[ Alex Wake ]
The protagonist of "Beyond Eden", Alex is a handsome businessman and popular socialite. 
Edward was smitten by him at first sight, but they remain mere acquaintances.
The animosity between the Wakes and the Edenics is just one obstacle that he must overcome to win Alex’s heart.

[ Francis Taylor ]
Francis Taylor is a shy, gentle young man and Edward’s boarding school roommate.
Unbeknownst to Edward, Francis had romantic feelings for him since they were boys. But to Edward, Francis was someone to avoid because he was involved in an incident that got Edward expelled.
A rather unlucky young man prone to get entangled in undesirable circumstances, Edward can choose to continue ignoring Francis or offer help.

Edward Edenic

The third son of Baron Edenic, Edward is a naive and callow young man. He had a crush on Alex, a house guest who visited the Edenics early this year. However, the two have lost contact since the fire that consumed the Edenic mansion.

During his visit to London, Edward engaged in his favorite pastime—gambling—and winded up with 1000 pounds in debt. To repay the staggering amount he sought out Alex for a loan……and then found himself employed as an investigator, and also working part-time as an amateur detective. 

Alex Wake [romantic interest]

Following the fire at Ashgrove Park, Alex abandoned his long-pursued mission and resumed everyday life.

He cherishes Jeremy as his kin, and endeavors to extend this compassion to those around Jeremy—including the Edenic brothers.

Alex assumes Edward’s affection to be nothing more than a boyish adoration that will cool off eventually……but perhaps he could be proven wrong.

Francis Taylor [romantic interest]

Francis was Edward’s classmate and roommate from boarding school. They lost contact after Edward left school, but have reunited upon Francis’s return to London. 

Francis is kind and considerate to all, but is also rather meek and indecisive.

Currently he works as a secretary while reading and studying in his spare time to achieve his dream.

Francis has an unfortunate tendency to get caught up in strange cases, and thus in desperate need of a detective—even an amateur one like Edward.

Lydia Blake

Edward’s grandaunt, Lydia is a rich old lady who acts solely of her own accord and judgment.

She continues to wear her widow's weeds ever since her husband’s passing 30 years ago, and is thereby considered an eccentric.

Lydia resides at Lane Hall, a London townhouse infamous for being haunted.

Lydia had barely any contact with the Edenic brothers, yet for some reason she provided Edward with a residence once she learns of his troubles.

Henrietta Whiston

Edward’s second cousin, Henrietta is a frank, cheerful, and highly energetic woman.

She revels in the life of a socialite, and is also a leading philanthropist. She has a particular knack for coaxing people into giving donations while also making them feel good about themselves.

A certain case brought her and Edward close, and they eventually become bosom friends.

Louis Anderson

Louis was a temporary Greek instructor who worked briefly at Edward and Francis’s school during the time they were enrolled.

He is also an alumnus of the same school, a former prefect who was respected by many for his excellent academic achievements as well as his prowess in sports.

An extrovert who enjoys conversation, he is popular in high society due to his outgoing personality as well as his stylish and elegant sense of fashion.

He came across Edward by coincidence and assisted him in a case, which lead them to become reacquainted.
